Since its foundation, Arcadia has been actively doing research and development in the field of human interface such as voice recognition and speech synthesis.
One of our R&D product SpeeCAN, which is a Japanese speech synthesis software, has been used in diverse areas from announcement in train, station yard, disaster prevention administrative radio, to TV game, and so on.
In the future, we will continue our corporate activities based on “Computing Innovation”, in order to find new possibilities of computer applications through the research and development of speech and language processing.
Computer was invented in the early 1960s. Although at present it has become indispensable in our daily lives, still there are many people who find difficulties when interacting with computer.
If we can use computer as our communication tools, easily, anytime, anywhere, then we believe our quality of lives would become higher.
Features that are required from computer in the future, is to facilitate a variety of communication. Robot which interacting with human, that appeared in SF movies, might also finds it places in our lives, soon.
